We are Philip and Suzie Marvin, proud owners of Villa Sant' Annina.

We welcome you to the beautiful Valle d'Itria, deep in the heart of Puglia. Our villa sits in the rolling hills, just outside the town of Cisternino, an hour's drive from Brindisi and Bari. 

​

In the summer of 2011, we fell in love with the region and came across the property accidentally. Two years later we became the owners. 

​​

At that time, the villa was full of potential yet in need of some serious updating and a lot of love. ​In the years since there have been many projects to turn it into what it is today. 

​

There was the conversion of an old, leaky garage into the now magnificent Mirtillo apartment; the main bedroom of which sits in an original trullo, attached to the main building.​ The trullo itself has gone through major restoration including a new stone roof. We have added modern conveniences such as solar panels to heat our hot water as well as rewiring the whole property to bring it up to date. 

 

In the grounds, we added a dedicated BBQ area and extended the tennis court, which mysteriously was 16 feet too short when we inherited it! Substantial re-planting of plants and trees and re-building of the traditional drystone walls which border the grounds, make the outside space a joy to explore.

 

Over the years, we have travelled extensively throughout the region exploring towns such as Alberobello and Polignano a Mare, but also further afield all along the Salento and Gargano coastlines.

With almost guaranteed sunshine from Spring to late Autumn and a slow pace of life, it makes for the perfect, relaxing holiday destination.

​

More recently, we have specialised in accommodating retreat groups. The villa is ideal for this, sleeping up to 20 people spread across 5 double and 5 single, twin-bedded rooms. 

​

We love to spread the joy of Puglia and look forward to sharing a glass of local wine with you.
