NEW FOR 2023

As of February 2023, Villa Sant’ Annina has two on-site guardians - Rich (Philip and Suzie’s son) and his partner Alex. They are currently living la dolce vita in the rolling foothills of the Valle d’Itria with their cat Crosby not far behind.

They swapped the grey, concrete jungle of East London for the luscious green olive groves of Cisternino with the intention of living slower and in greater harmony with nature. The relentless pace of London living was leading to burnout and so the chance to sample a different way was too good an opportunity to pass up.

They each bring their own unique skills to Sant’ Annina. Rich works in communications for a UK charity, but originally trained in woodwork and worked on set in TV and film. Alex is a CELTA-qualified English language teacher, working locally in Monopoli. She has a professional background in account management and in digital publishing, working for The Times. They are both keen singers, gardeners, DIY’ers, foodies, linguists and lovers of Italian life and culture.

They ensure the smooth running of the villa and surrounding environment to give you the best possible stay with us. They are ‘there but not there’, respecting your privacy whilst still being available when needed for local knowledge and house needs. They also offer a new voice to Sant’ Annina, giving it fresh perspective, and bringing it to life through the digital realm.

They’re really excited to welcome you to Sant’ Annina and look forward to sharing the joys of Puglia with you.
